Replies

1. I’ve actually never tried this brand @Bex so I’m not sure how they smell

2. I love the idea of the wand, no hands touching the gel inside or the spot.  I would love if YGS had something like this.

3a and 3b I like the pour bottle and size, no change needed!

4a. 25 to 30 wipes is a fair number for a pack of cleansing wipes! That’s what I usually buy anyway.

4b. I prefer the Yes to package! I like the fact that I would be able to click my package closed rather then the sticky closures that don’t stay sticky.

@Bex I haven’t tried it but I’m always interested in new things!

2. The wand looks fine but I wonder if it’s not quite soft enough and could be a little tough on tender spots. I don’t really have a better idea although a short paintbrush or bristle type end could be softer and just as effective.

3a. I like the flip top idea, I can’t really think of a better way to dispense but it depends on the product. A creamy product I always prefer to be in a tube I can roll or squeeze (and not have to use all my muscle!) but for liquids, a flip top is perfect so I don’t get it all over myself.

3b. That size is just fine. I never really consider sizes of products unless I need a travel size version! So maybe that in addition could be helpful, especially for trying the product.

4a. 25 is good because I find that if it’s too many, wipes dry out before I get to finish them and it makes me sad!

4b. I definitely prefer the second one because it’s easy to tell where to reclose it and I can be assured it will stay fresh and hydrated. I’ve had bad luck with packages that look like the first one and the adhesive tends to lose its strength almost immediately, and therefore the wipes dry out quickly.

@Bex

1. To be honest I have never used this brand so I am not sure how it would smell. I am curious though about these products.

2. I really like this wand. Easy to use and you don't have to use your hands to touch your skin and it would be easy to put the right amount on the spot that you are treating.

3.a./3.b.. No need for change. I like the pour bottle and the size is fine. Bigger bottles would me less easy to store in my cabinets.

4a. 25 wipes is a great amount. I don't want more wipes in a pack because they would dry out too soon if there are more than 25 wipes in a pack.

4b. I prefer the second package with the click lid so the pack stays closed better and the wipes can't dry out. I usually have trouble with the just sticker lids because they tend to open and then your wipes will dry out.

@Bex 1.  I have tried tea tree and witch hazel.  I think the fragrance is refreshing.

2.  the packaging is okay I would add some more color to it to make it look a little bit more vibrant.

3a.  I would prefer a pump bottle because it's less waste for me.

3b.  The size is just fine for me.

4a.  The amount is fine that way they won't dry out.

4b.  I like the packaging of the second one because it looks like it would keep it fresher longer.

1 I have never tried this brand or seen it in stores

2 i do like the packageing of the spot wand and think it is great the way it is

3a & 3b. I like flip top caps i feel they are fine and also the size of this product is fine for me

4a i would prefer a 30 pack versus a 25 pack so i wold know it was a full month of wipes for me

4b i like the packageing on the yes to better i feel the click closed packageing works better than the ones with the sticky tape closure as this usually does not stick closed for more than 2 or 3 days

@Bex

1. Have you ever tried Tea Tree & Witch Hazel products? If so, what are your opinions of the fragrance? - not for a long time but historically I remember them a being light but also astringent in scent.

2. Please have a look at the below image of the Tea Tree & Witch Hazel spot wand. What do you think of the spot wand packaging? Do you like it or dislike it? Would you prefer an alternative format or would you be happy with this one? - I like the colour scheme it seems aimed at a younger age group, the text is clear and straightforward .

3a. The Tea Tree &Witch Hazel Cleanser & Toning Lotion currently comes in a 'pour' bottle with a 'flip cap'. What do you think about this format? Or would you prefer it to be in a different format? If so, what sort would you like? - my personal preference would be for a sqeezy type dispenser as I think there is less chance of spillage.

3b. What do you think of the size of this product (150ml)? Would you prefer it to be a different size or are you happy with this one? - 150ml is a fairly standard size but it might also be good with a 500ml size in the range too.

4a. What do you think about the amount of face wipes that come in a 25 pack? Are you happy with this or would you prefer another amount? - again I prefer at least 30 wipes in a packet so as to last a month on average.

4b. Please have a look at the packets of wipes below. Which format do you prefer and why? What are your impressions of the different formats? - I prefer the YES packaging for the block colour and the hard flap opening I don’t think the packs with just a sticky flap hold their moisture in.

1. Have not tried this product.

2.  I like the wand concept because it looks like it will be easy to use and control.  The packaging is eye catching.

3a. I like a flip cap, easy to use and control the amount of liquid that comes out.

3b. I would like the bottle to be bigger.

4a. I would prefer a 60 count

4b. I prefer the hard flap closure

Bex,honey,I am familiar with Tea Tree, yet within essential oils and Witch Hazel is great for headaches, but as ingredients rather than stand-alone products ,on their own. And as I've mentioned,"medicinal",they've yet to give off the recognizable smell of such. They have an air of clean healing that has always lured me to them. In fact,I mainly use these for medicinal purposes. However,I would be open to trying the products which you are displaying to us,and do like the sizings and the package of cleansing wipes that have green cucumber as a base for soothing, because that's what I see in any plant-based formulary, inherent of facial goods.

It has been so many years ago I think I was in high school when I tried witch hazel, I liked it and liked the smell then. I love the wand   I like the pour bottle but it could come in a little larger size.  I like the white and blue packet because it looks classy.

@mariebow  A "little" larger? 😉 If I said it once,I'll say it again,"You are the cutest!"

@Bex 1. I have never tried or seen this product, I have no idea how it smells.                                       2. The spot wand looks like a unique idea, but I always worry that a product that has an applicator that touches a blemish may become contaminated. I prefer to apply with a clean finger.                                                                             3a. I like a flip cap. I also like the kind of top that you push down an a certain amount comes out.    3b.I am happy with 150 MLS .                                 4a. I am happy with 25 wipes, depending on the price.                                                                             4b. I like the package below (yes to) better. The snap lid works better and keeps the wipes fresh longer.

@Bex I have not tried this particular brand. I prefer less waste and just using clean hands. I do like the flip cap and size of toner. The size is okay to me. The 25 wipe size makes sense, but the sticker types never seem to keep the air from drying the wipes, so I like the sturdy door type.

@Bex 1- Sorry I have never heard of that brand but I do use another tea tree brand for my hair regimes.

2- I would prefer the alternative format. I would prefer to use my finger tips to apply it. I don't like using a tip of an object where It can get contaminated.

3a- For the cleanser and toning lotion I like the flip cap. its so convenient and less messy.

3b- I thinks the size is ok but it also depends on the price and if the size is worth the price.

4a- I would prefer more wipes. I usually use more than one or two wipes.

4b- I like the Yes package because its easier to retrieve and snap closed

1. Yes...it was a long time ago, but I don't remember having an issue with the fragrance.

2. Simple and functional design, with minimal fuss. I like it!

3a. This format is fine...no change necessary.

3b. Maybe a little bigger? 200ml or 250ml would be great...similar bottle size as the YGS toners.

4a. That quantity is about right. Smaller packs are more convenient.

4b. I like the smaller size packaging, but prefer the snap lid of the second option. It's more likely to keep my wipes moist. The sticker seals never work.

@Bex I have never heard of this brand before so I don't know what it smells like either. I like the wand idea and the way it is packaged. Great for just hitting spots.

Pour bottle with a flip cap is okay if it is easy to open and doesn't gush out. The size is great but maybe a smaller size just to try it out?

As far as the wipes, 25 are fine. If you get too many they tend to dry out before you can use them all. And I like the packaging used in the Yes to product because you can reseal that front part and they pop out well too. But to be honest I have never found a package of wipes that stays shut and makes me happy!!

@Bex I have never tried this brand before but very interested in finding out more.  I actually add tea tree oil into my kids as well as my shampoo as well as my foot lotion, so I do like tea tree oil but it can be a strong scent to some people if you are not used to (remembering from my first time using it and now I love the smell).

Not really into a ‘pour’ bottle as it tends to be wasteful or in my case spilled everywhere, so more of a pump or squeeze bottle for me.

The amount of face wipes is good 25 to 30 is perfect but I like the Yes packaging as those tend to close better without drying out the wipes.

Not sure on the spot treatment packaging I think I would need to see it better, is that for one day use?

@Shell5 I love tea tree oil and actually even like it’s musky smell. It is good for so many things that I keep a bottle in both bathrooms!

4b. Please have a look at the packets of wipes below. Which format do you prefer and why? What are your impressions of the different formats?

1.I have tried a shampoo that contained tea tree oil and it was decent to my hair. I haven't tried Witch Hazel.

2. I like it as it is because it's clear and easy to understand. I like this format.

3a. I think it would depend on what format the cleanser and lotion is going to be. If it's thick, then it would be ideal to have a roll on cap. The issue with flip cap that I think is that it can sometimes break the cap if you're trying hard to open it. But that's just me.

3b. I think that's a good size because you can store it easily, I like the packaging too because it's clear/see through.

4a. I think that is generally the amount of face wipes that I find that the stores here have. I am happy with this amount but if you would double the amount, then the size of each face wipe should remain the same, obviously packaging would be bigger - which is fine.

4b. I prefer the "Yes To" format because it's easy to open and close it. I think the left one is simple but cute and the right one is nice and colorful.

@Sai Do you think the spot wand could by unhygienic or do you think it is good in this format?

You have a point there @Bex I was thinking it could be unhygienic at first, then thought if you cleanses your skin before using it, it should be ok!  I’m not 100% sure about it, I just felt the want was so easy to use.

@Bex I haven’t used these brands but have used tea tree and witch hazel beat dabbed on spots in the past and used to use witch hazel in the past when younger as a toner. The smell of these products can sometimes be quite medical. The spot wand looks like a good idea and a good way of applying the product although would be concerned that would spread bacteria as once it has touched one spot it will touch another. The toner packaging sounds a good way of dispensing the product and a small size would be a good idea for holdiahsnand also to see if like the product before buying a bigger one. The wipe size would be good for hols prefer the pavkagong on the yes wipes. I think bumper packs of wipes should be available particularly if using more than once a day like 40 or 50

@Bex oh, my! As a teen witch hazel was the "must have" product for skin care. I thought it was oily and a little too strong. I didn't use it for long. I once tried Paul Mitchell Tea Tree shampoo. The scent was very strong, and while it is supposed to help with oily hair, I found it made my hair greasier. I like the smell of tea tree oil in moderate degrees. Sometimes it can be overwhelming and takes on a "medicinal" smell. At this point I'm not interested in a product with tea tree oil. The spot treatment is a neat idea for women who want a small amount of product-I have never seen witch hazel in a wand like this. The Yes facial wipes stand out more because of the green color. The packaging for tea tree & witch hazel is kind of bland. Needs more color and different fonts

@Bex  I ha e seen these products. It always remind of one of the few products I could afford as a teenager., when you used witch hazel for spots.

i prefer the pump bottles I must admit. I always think the products untaunted somehow.

@Bex

I used witch hazel many, many years ago when I was in university. I used to love it and used it for spots and blemishes. I used one of the wands like the one on the photo and also a stick (I think it was blue in colour) which you applied directly to your skin.

I used to love the smell, it was so refreshing and also the way it used to feel on my skin.

I quite like the format of the cleanser and toner with the flip cap and I think 150ml is OK (I would prefer 200 or 250ml as 150 is a bit small).

I think 25 face wipes is OK. I find larger packets tend to dry up the towels at the bottom so I prefer 25 or 30 max. The Yes to package is nicer but I don’t like the added plastic on it as it becomes wasteful and I am quite self-conscious about the plastic we use in our daily lives.

@Bex

I haven't tried but like the main ingredients.

In like the wand because it will give a direct application to certain areas of focus.

The flip top and amount of the cleanser is great so no changes there either

I like the Yes To packaging because less air I'll dry out the wipes.

Are these available is YGS thinking of these products for our brand?

@Bex I have never tried these products, however they look intriguing.

I don't like the wand very well. I prefer a bottle with a pump or a flip top lid.

I like the bottle with the flop top lid, but would prefer it with a pump lid. The size will work, but if it has a pump lid I'd like a bigger bottle.

I think I'd like a bigger package of face wipes. I wouldn't have to buy them as often and there's less packaging with buying bigger packs. I like the green packaging. It's more colorful and stands out. It just looks classier to me.

I was thinking the same...I have used spot wands before and not had a problem with it. Plus, the antibacterial ingredients of the treatment would probably keep the wand sanitised.

Must admit I didn't think of that when I did the survey, so it's good you brought it up. Many people are trying to cut down on plastic use these days, and brands are slowly coming round to that idea, so it's only a matter of time before more and more plastic packaging gets replaced by biodegradable/sustainable alternatives. I'm currently using a brand (Naty) that does biodegradable baby wipes, and even its packaging is made from sugarcane, so it is entirely doable!

@Ruiyyanko "Think outside the box for us,girlfriend!" I like it...Being an educated consumer myself takes nothing away from you. You were just brave enough to say it. "Let's give ninnytendo and ruiyyanko a great, big round of applause!" 👏

@Bex yes, I've tried the Yes to Cucumber wipes and I loved it, it really helped with providing a refreshing feeling to my skin. Cleaned really well and I felt refreshed after each use.

2 not a fan of the wand

3a I prefer flip cap

3b. I prefer wipes, it's less messy and no need to over saturate a cotton ball

1. I’ve actually never put so much attention on the fragrance of the witch hazel and tea tree is ok for me

2. I ike the wand, no hands touching the product and easier to travel.

3a and 3b I like the pour bottle and size

4a. looks fair but i always end throwing wipes because the get dry specially this format than after few uses the sticky part it’s not sticky anymore

4b. looks “ safe” than regular packaging
