Favorite movie

Hello ladies. Over the holidays many people binge watch their favorite movies. Mine is Elf and Home Alone. What are some of your favorite holidays movies you can't go without seeing over the holidays?

Replies

@Mim  hi Mim, yes Elf is now a Christmas classic, so that’s on my list plus A Christmas Story, a great nostalgic film and finally Die Hard, great topic x

@Mim Great topic!! I have to watch A Christmas Story and It's a Wonderful Life. I love Elf and will watch it and National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation for lots of laughs. I am also hooked on the Hallmark Channel Christmas movies. None will be classics, but they get me in the Christmas spirit none the less!!

I love those movies!  My fav is The Christmas Story, it reminds me of some of my crazy family members.

Elf and the origional grinch cartoon

And who can forget the first Home Alone movie?

@Bulldog I watched Elf already twice and have it recorded to watch again. LOL

@kelceyryder I love love this movie. I never tired myself with this movie

@DonnaB I love Die Hard also. There are just so many to binge on

@Mim Of all the Christmas movies I like to watch;especially on Christmas morning,I’d have to say it is,”King of Kings“.. And let’s not forget “Jesus of Nazareth”,”The Ten Commandments”,”Ben Hur”, Mim,you know I was gonna go there...😉

@Sagittarius Jesus of Nazareth is the greatest story ever told.

@Mim haha yeah, I've been watching it for as long as I can remember.

@Mim mine is Home alone, Christmas with the Kranks and Lampoons Christmas vacation. 😁

@Mim Home Alone for me.

One of my faves too!

@Naffy786 “Home Alone” was kinda hilarious the first time I watched it. Reminds me of,”Maguyver”.😋

@Mim I’ve been subjected to watching this movie since I was 8. 😋 But don’t get me wrong when I say,”subjected to”. My parents knew that I’d be a better person because of it. And it worked. 😉 I now,not only believe in Jesus Christ,I believe in all paths to God.

@Mim All miine to give😊 and jingle all the way with Sinbad and arnold scwarznegger

@Mim Mine are The Holiday and Love Actually! 😊

@Sai I love those movies too. They are so funny!

@Bex I love those too! Really get you in the holiday mood!

They are really funny! They are my teen daughters fave too @Hendrika 😊

My favourite Christmas movies are Scrooged (with Bill Murray) and Love Actually. I could watch them every Christmas and never get tired of them.

Girls,"How can we forget the holiday classic,"Babes In Toyland" / "March Of The Wooden Soldiers" !  ...We'll Live In A Castle In Spainnnn!!!! 😅

My all time favorite is Its a Wonderful Life. Another one I absolutely have to watch is Holiday Inn. I enjoy most of the ones listed above, but I'm hooked on the classics.

Those are excellent movies. I normally watch them around Easter time.

@Sagittarius Yes, March of the wooden soldiers I watch that every year

@Mim To be honest,it’s more of a Thanksgiving movie. And I truly believe I’m being traumatized if I fail to put the movie on,whilst preparing the meal. 🤣It’s like the two go hand in hand. For reals! 😉

haha yeah agree.

@Mim When Harry Met Sally. One of my favorite movies of any genre. Although not technically a "Christmas: movie, much of it takes place over the holidays so I consider it a "Christmas" movie

@Mim  I watch Lampoon's Christmas with Chevy Chase.  .i love when that squirrel jumps out of the Christmas tree😃😃😃 and A  Christmas Story has been a tradition for my family ever since.

@DonnaB I was getting ready on Christmas Eve and I hear my husband and sister laughing hysterically. I asked what they were watching-it was A Christmas Story!

@ReneeF That’s so very true,ReneeF,yet given the opportunity to choose watching a re-enactment of his birth over the reminders of his death,I’d choose the latter because that’s something he humbly did for us,so that we may be saved.  “Father, please forgive us,for we know not what we do “.  ...Or say. 🙄
